Challenges:

Weather: The local weather proved to be a real challenge during the install process. Being perched on the top of a hill the site was extremely prone to high winds screaming up the valley. Combining long-range forecasts and some insightful local knowledge we were able to choose the perfect couple of days to crane the unit in and install the roofing.

Delivery/Install: The weather on the day of delivery was the most important aspect to be taken into consideration as the container needed to be lifted 15m high and 22m out from the crane's location to get over the top of the pine trees. A 55ton All Terrain crane was used because of the height and distance of the lift. The single modified 20ft shipping container weighed in at just under 5000kg as the unit was fully completed internally.

Space Maximisation: With an internal size of only 12.64m² between finished frames, utilising space in every way possible was a priority. Some of the ways we maximised space was a floating bed frame with suitcase storage below, cabinet and draw sets around the bed frame, hidden pop down tv from the ceiling, built-in blind recesses to keep the full height windows unobstructed, hidden draw below the built-in gas fireplace.
